This location is the south end of a small yard where RR&G rolling stock was left when the railroad shut down.

Sandersville Crossing is just ahead and beyond that is recently-cleared land where the Long Leaf Jct once was.

The car frames need to be picked up, brasses replaced, and then moved to the Engine House for storage and eventual restoration. The rails then need to be lifted, the Right-of-Way needs to be cleared, new ties need to be put down, and finally the rails replaced. This is a massive project that will take many volunteers at least a year to accomplish.
