Team: Objectives: 1) Relay next panel of lead track that 106 will be pulled out onto 2) Inventory equipment for relay and other available equipment
Friday - Specifications for relay track set out: 24 inch tie centers, every 4th new new all treated ties underneath new shed track 60 pound rail on new shed track 45 pound rail on lead track relay
- Inventoried stacks of 12ft and 16ft cut rail near dry kiln. Approximately 80 sticks of 12ft rail, 470-500 sticks of 16 ft lengths. Approximately 20 sticks of full length 60 pound rail underneath these stacks and in the general vicinity
Saturday - Tractor used to level shed lead track railbed. Dozens of passes were made with a box blade and the bucket on the tractor. Level of rail bed checked every 10 feet. Additionally vegetation clearing work was performed near the pine tree on the rail bed.
- Tractor then used to bring up old and new ties to rail bed. Ties then laid out an additional 33 feet from existing lead track relay.
